Mesilla Valley Amateur August 22-24, 2008

The Mesilla Valley Amateur was started in 2002 as an idea of creating the largest golf tournament in New Mexico and at the same time, raising money for local charities. With the help of Rich Beem, PGA Tour Members, the Mesilla Valley Amateur has consistently had a field in excess of 200 players while donating in excess of $75,000 to local charities over the last 6 years. This year's tournament will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation and provide Wishes for area children with life threatening illnesses.

As always, your entry fee will cover all activities including your tournament entry fee, cart fees, your entry into the skins game each day, the closest to the pin contests each day, lunches each day and your door prize tickets.  We will not be having a banquet this year but will instead upgrade the lunches and players party on Friday night.

We will once again allow all players over the age of 70 to play from Senior Tees in the Third and Higher Flights.  In the Championship Flight, players over the age of 50 will be allowed to play from forward tees.  We hope that this will provide a greater degree of equity in the event thus making it more enjoyable for all players.

Please see below for more information on the format and the calendar of events. A printable copy of the entry form is available by clicking on the link at the bottom of the page.
